Did you know that people with resilient personalities tend to experience more positive emotions?  According to positive psychology research, positive emotions help us, and our clients, endure and grow from the adversities of life.  Join us to learn how to use the intelligence of emotions to get out of a rut and bounce back from a position of positive strength.

Coaches will learn:

Emotional resilience strategies to help themselves and clients bounce back and move forward from a position of strength.

At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

* Understand the connection between resilience and positive emotions

* Learn the SMARTER mindfulness  paths of Thrive and Survive

* Assess  resilience hardiness factors

* Gain knowledge about  explanatory  styles

* Learn a positive psychology coaching model (FOCUS)

With over twenty five years of accomplished human resource and leadership development experience, Cynthia is a coach, consultant and trainer for very smart people, leaders and teams including MBA’s,  technical workers,  military, scientists, CEO’s and healthcare professionals. She is author of Smart2Smarter- A Coaching Guide for Smart People– The Seven Skills Every Smart Person Needs and Every Employer Wants, along with the leadership and coaching certification program on Social and Emotional Intelligence.

With a Masters in Counseling, advanced studies in organizational psychology, along with advanced credentials as a Board Certified Coach, Master Certified Counselor and Certified Leadership and Talent Management Coach, Cynthia’s passion is to inspire leaders and workplaces to use social and emotional intelligence to make smarter career and leadership connections. Additionally, as a career development expert and author of over ten career and workplace development  tools, Cynthia works with clients to help them define how they will be successful (best in the world) and significant ( best for the world) throughout their career.

Cynthia has served her community in various leadership roles including the International Board, Association of Career Management professionals, and Field Editor of the National Career Development Association magazine, Career Convergence, and content contributor to The Leading Change group.  Cynthia’s blog, SMARTER Workplaces, focuses on respectful engagement to lead with humanity and interact with civility.  She is on the Research team of the Human Capital Institute, and an adjunct faculty/coach Lake Forest Graduate School. Cynthia regularly presents at international conferences including Linkage Corporation Coaching and Mentoring Conference, National Career Development Association, Workforce Development Conference, International Career Development Conference, Project Leadership Conference, Emotions in The Workplace Global Symposium, Toronto and International Quality and Productivity Conference.
